You are invited to our Annual General Meeting (AGM). An opportunity to gather in the community, reflect on the last 12 months, appoint new committee members and make plans for the year ahead.
The purchase of our land was one step toward developing our 'Nature Ashram' and to support the ongoing development of this project and as a registered charity we must ensure we fulfill all our legal obligations.
An important part of this is meeting annually to approve the accounts and elect committee members.
All are welcome to attend this gathering on 15th September 2024 at 10.30 am for an 11 am start. The AGM itself should take no more than 2 hours and there is the option to attend via Zoom. You can register your interest by emailing info@ukbabaji.com. Please register your interest to receive the full address near Glastonbury or zoom link.
If you have any further questions the best way of contacting us is via the above email which is regularly checked.
New Committee Members
There are lots of ways to help and support Babaji's charity in the UK. Please be in touch if you'd like to volunteer.
One way is to join the charity's committee - there are roles with specific responsibilities such as Chair, Treasurer and Secretary and also Regular Committee members to assist with ad-hoc projects and the general day-to-day running of a charity. Some of the skills we are looking for in particular are strong financial skills, experience in project management or running a charity, fundraising experience and building planning applications. This role requires dedication and commitment to the aims of the charity and if you are interested we'd encourage you to speak to an existing committee member in advance of submitting your application.
Please read the links below to role descriptions and application form so you know what is involved. Also note, that we need your application no later than the evening of Monday 2nd September! Please send it to info@ukbabaji.com. Together with a description of 100-200 words say why you want to stand for any given role and what you might be able to offer. By law, we can have several members standing for any role so if you feel called then let us know.
